Description

A grand concert to close the OCM’s 85th season with Joy by Kevin Lau, a captivating work for solo violin and string orchestra, described by the Canadian composer as a “song without words” where joy and melancholy intertwine in a meditative and expressive melody. Then, Pierre Mercure’s majestic work, Cantate pour une joie, a work full of optimism and brotherhood. Finally, Beethoven‘s breathtaking 9th Symphony, a monumental work that embodies both the depth of the human soul and the power of musical expression. Join us for an evening in collaboration with the St. Lawrence Choir for a concert conducted by Philippe Bourque at the Maison Symphonique. It will be an exhilarating experience!

Before the main concert, from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m., in the Antonia-Nantel Foyer of the Maison symphonique, a chamber music concert titled Little Stars will take place, showcasing promising young talents. A wonderful opportunity to celebrate the passion and dedication of the next generation of musicians!
