Description

A grand concert to close the OCM’s 85th season with Memengwenyig by Anishinaabe composer Barbara Assiginaak, a contemporary piece that blends elements of traditional Indigenous music with modern sounds on the theme of the flight of butterflies. Then, Pierre Mercure’s majestic work, Cantate pour une joie, a work full of optimism and brotherhood. Finally, Beethoven‘s breathtaking 9th Symphony, a monumental work that embodies both the depth of the human soul and the power of musical expression. Join us for an evening in collaboration with the St. Lawrence Choir for a concert conducted by Philippe Bourque at the Maison Symphonique. It will be an exhilarating experience!
